1954! That's when the story of my family tradition in the jewellery business begins. That year, George T. Platis (grandfather) began his involvement in the retail trade of gold jewelry.
It was followed by Tharrenos C. The next step was taken by Tharrios Plati in the 90's, who, inspired by the area, went a step further by importing Italian jewellery which he channelled wholesale throughout Greece. Shortly afterwards, he became involved in retailing locally.
In 2005, it was my turn to enter the magical world of jewellery, having as a legacy the experience of previous generations, which I combined with specialized and in-depth training. I obtained the DGA Diamondologist title from The Gemological Association of Great Britain and at the same time trained in jewellery design at the Lalaounis Museum. I also attended handmade jewellery making seminars and apprenticed under a skilled goldsmith for 7 consecutive years.
My love for jewellery still made me take every opportunity to learn, so in the first quarter of 2021 I developed my design skills by learning the Rhino design program on a professional level.
The result of my love for jewellery and my continuous education and development, you can see them in my physical store that I have since 2010 as well as in my e-shop.
